On December 23, 2025, the Hanzhong 750kV Ultra-High Voltage (UHV) transmission and substation project was officially commissioned in Shaanxi, China. This landmark project marks the Shaanxi power grid’s entry into the UHV era, significantly enhancing regional energy reliability and supporting the transition to clean energy.

The 459km transmission line is a feat of modern engineering, being the first 750kV UHV line in China to cross the Qinling Mountains North-to-South. The project faced and overcame unprecedented challenges:
As a key component of China’s “14th Five-Year Plan,” the project is expected to meet regional electricity demands for the next 15 years while reducing CO2 emissions by approximately 15 million tons annually. This highlights the growing global demand for efficient distribution transformers and dry type transformers in sustainable grid designs.
